The Hub Chapel

28th April 2017

If you're in ministry and in a tight spot and want to ask someone to pray for you without exposing yourself, where can you go? Inside the Sheldon Hub is a members-only prayer space - a virtual chapel. You can post a prayer request using your Real Name, Screen Name or as 'Anonymous'. Other members of the Hub can show they are praying for you by clicking the praying hands logo (only you can see the number of praying hands, and you don't know the names of your prayer support partners), and people might also post a supportive comment. Your prayer request will stay up for 30 days and you can extend it longer if you wish.

Sometimes people say to us 'Oh I'm retired now, I don't think the Hub would be of use to me, and I haven't got anything particular to offer'. We always let them know about the Hub chapel - there are probably many in active ministry who would really value your prayer support. The Hub gives you a ready-made prayer list of those you have offered to pray for. It's discreet and it's precious.

Recent prayer requests have included 'Personal dilemma' 'Struggle with God', 'Difficult conversation', 'Seeking to discern God's will', 'Prayer for strength and discernment' as well as prayers for family members, sick friends and congregation members, people in the news, etc.

The Hub Chapel is real, honest, supportive and kind. We're all about doing healthy ministry together. Please tell colleagues in ministry about the Hub (share/forward this blog post?), and if you're not in yet, then come and join.
